Coach Hyde has been involved in the sport of volleyball for over 30 years. He began playing while attending Atlantic Union College in Massachusetts. During his time there, he played both the middle blocker and outside hitter positions.
He took a year off from college to work at a private school in Sweden. While there, he played club volleyball as well as coaching both the boys and girls high school teams.
Once he graduated from college, he spent time playing with various league teams as well as coaching some high school teams here and there.
Coach Hyde served as the assistant coach for both the men's and women's volleyball teams at Washington Adventist University. After two years as the assistant to the women's program, he served as the head coach for three years.
Coach Hyde resigned as the head coach at Washington Adventist University and took on the coaching responsibilities at Atholton Adventist Academy as well as assisting with the girls program at Spencerville Adventist Academy.
After serving for 4 years as both the boys and girls head volleyball coach at Spencerville Adventist Academy Coach Hyde will again be coaching at Atholton Adventist Academy.
